Affiliate marketing on the internet is growing by leaps and
bounds. What is affiliate marketing?

In its simplest form, I give an example. A company like walmart.com,
has a link on its site, called affiliates or sometimes the link
will say associates or make money.

Once the prospective affiliate clicks the link, they\'ll find a signup
form,fill it out, agree to the terms of service, click the signup
completion link and once approved, they\'re given a username and password,
a website link and a multitude of promotional tools:solo email ads, banners,
and the best ways to promote their site. or they are urged to check their
email and retrieve them.

When the affiliates login,they\'ll be given a website link to
send traffic or people to, via advertising and this link will have unique
information that will track how many people that specific affiliate sent
to the site, how many sales or lead signups were generated via their efforts etc.

Affiliate programs are all over the net and the rates they payout,
vary wildly from as little as 2% to as much as 75% and some even
pay for each affiliate recruited under the first affiliate.


Affiliate Marketing is no longer strictly the domain of the computer nerds,
Major Fortune 500 companies from Disney to Walmart to Dell and even porn
sites have all jumped into this multi-billion dollar industry.
